beech tree hedge
This is an entire path of beech trees. They are very very old and the feeling was amazing. I kept expecting to see a hobbit come running out, or at least an elf.
we are two australian academics with a love of walking and Romantic poetry. The Lake District was a little too Wordsworth for us (and too expensive) so we decided to take the less travelled path (apologies to Robert Frost) and walk the Coleridge Way. Coleridge was a prolific walker so this may be the start of many walks to come.
