view on the way to lype hill
See the beginning of the forest--see the farm way down--well we walked from there and felt very proud. We did have to stop and ask local farmer what direction--up he replied--and keep going up.
we are two australian academics with a love of walking and Romantic poetry. The Lake District was a little too Wordsworth for us (and too expensive) so we decided to take the less travelled path (apologies to Robert Frost) and walk the Coleridge Way. Coleridge was a prolific walker so this may be the start of many walks to come.
